Moors Christmas Gala

The competition will take place on Saturday 17th December @ Bedale Leisure Centre. 2pm Warm Up.

  1. Meet to be held at Redcar Leisure Centre – the Pool length is 25m
  2. COLORADO AOE timing to be used
  3. 8years, 25m all strokes, 100m IM please note any swimmer accepted must have been ratified by the relevant club coach for each event, should this be found not to have occurred the swimmer shall be disqualified from all events and invalidated from all presentations.
  • 9/10 years, 50m all strokes, 100m IM,
  • 11/12 years 50m all strokes, 100m IM,
  • 13/14 years 50m all strokes, 100m IM,
  • 15/16 years 50m all strokes, 100m IM,
  • 17 years and over (Open) 50m all strokes, 100m IM,
  • Members can only swim in two 50m events + 100m IM
  • All events are HDW. With the exception of the 100m IM which will have a SKINS final.
  1. The fastest IM swimmer for 13/UN and 14/OV (both genders) will be selected for the final.
  2. Any spare lanes will be filled by ‘wildcards’. Fastest next swimmers regardless of club
  3. £30 cash prize
  4. Events are £5 to enter
  5. Presentations are for the top 3 in each age group
  6. Ages are as at 31st December 2022
  7. Only members of the Moors Swim Squad can attend the gala
  8. This includes members of Eston, Guisborough, Northallerton, Stokesley, Saltburn & Marske
  9. Heats will be seeded according to submitted times
  10. Members who have been with clubs since the Moors League final are permitted to attend the meet
  11. Session Length will be 30mins warm up time. 3.5 hours Session Length
  12. For safety reasons only swimmers who can perform an Swim England competitive start may perform a shallow racing dive from the starting blocks.
  13. Spectator admission to be sold online at £3 per head
  14. Where possible, over-the-top starts will be used during the meet. Swimmers are requested to remain in the water until asked to leave the pool
  15. Any points not covered here will be at the discretion of the meet organisers
